Napa River Sediment TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load)

Living Rivers Council, LRC, has been submitting expert comments to the State Regional Water Quality Control Board for over 3 years regarding sediment in the Napa River that is causing deleterious impacts to salmon and degrading the Napa River watershed for human use. LRC recently submitted additional expert comments to the San Francisco Bay Region's Total Maximum Daily Load, (TMDL) for sediment in the Napa River prior to the close of CEQA comments before the State Water Resources Control Board, SWRCB. The SWRCB was scheduled to adopt a resolution approving an amendment to the Water Quality Control PLan on sediment in the Napa River, but LRC's comments caused the State Water Resource Control Board to pull the item on May 20, 2008, from the SWRCB's. Please see our comments attached.
